Take the strain Is a song about recognising the need for forgiveness and repentance . After taking revenge you realise such action did not give the desired peace and settlement required. Dealing with the aftermath of revenge you realise that it’s better to bear the pain and sorrow of the act that caused you the pain than to continue the chain of pain that revenge can cause.
Take the Strain, Break the Chain. Revenge may seem like Justice but it’s more like an endless chain of pain. Take the Strain Break the Chain is a more rewarding course of action. No one should perpetually bear pain but bearing some amount of pain can stop the cause of more pain.
